– Hederspriset ”La Dance” är ett speciellt och ärofyllt pris på många sätt. Att jag röstats fram av de mest framstående och kunniga i branschen betyder otroligt mycket. Det är ett kvitto på att vår gastronomiska satsning och utveckling gett resultat och det ger oss ytterligare inspiration att fortsätta att utveckla Grand Hôtels kök. Utmärkelsen värmer lite extra eftersom jag är den första kvinnan någonsin som får ta emot priset, säger Maria Maruska.
Prisutdelningen hålls på lördag, den 16 mars klockan 11.30, på O-baren på Sturehof med efterföljande lunch på Teatergrillen i Stockholm. Maria Maruska får ta emot diplomet La Dance 2013 och blir dessutom ledamot i M Sandahl Foundation. Fadder till Maria Maruska är Nils Axing, före detta vd Grand Hôtel.
– Vi är väldigt stolta att Maria tilldelats det hedersvärda priset och vi stämmer in i kören av lovord. Maria är en värdig pristagare. Hon har genom åren varit med och satt den gastronomiska standarden på Grand Hôtel, säger Marie-Louise Kjellström, vd Grand Hôtel.
Sedan starten 1962 har M Sandahl Foundation värnat om och uppmärksammat yrkesskicklighet och utpräglad ambition i de nordiska köken. Stiftelsen har också hand om gastronomins traditioner och en av dess främsta uppgifter är att lyfta utvecklingen genom olika utmärkelser. Sandahl Foundation har för närvarande 56 ledamöter samt fem hedersledamöter.
